Insurance Appraisals
Insurance Appraisals are for the sole purpose of obtaining insurance to recover the value of lost, damaged or stolen items.
For proper coverage, many insurance companies require a written appraisal by an independent, certified gemologist and appraiser, to replace lost, stolen or damaged items.

The value given will be the current replacement value of an item in new condition if it is still manufactured, or the replacement value of a similar comparable if it is a period piece.
For example, any items from the Victorian, Art Deco or Edwardian period just to name a few.
